Guest Policy & Responsibilities

Experience Ultimate Relaxation and Comfort

At our lakehouse, every detail is designed to offer you the utmost in luxury, relaxation, and enjoyment. From our carefully curated amenities to a wide selection of activities, your stay promises to be unforgettable.

To maintain the peace and harmony of our close-knit community, we kindly ask that between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, you keep noise to a minimum and avoid any loud sounds that could disturb the neighbors. We take this policy seriously to ensure everyone can enjoy a restful and serene environment.

No Smoking Policy

For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the lake house, guest house, and on all decks.

Please dispose of all cigarettes, cigars, and smoking materials only in the provided ashtrays.

Failure to comply will result in a $500 cleaning fee to cover the cost of deep cleaning and odor removal.

Thank you for respecting our home and ensuring a pleasant stay for everyone.

Pet Policy

We have a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding pets on the property. For the comfort and safety of all guests, no pets are permitted at any time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Unregistered Guests & Damages

  • Registered Guests Only: For safety and legal reasons, only guests who have signed the waiver are permitted on the property.
  • No Unregistered Visitors: Unregistered guests are not allowed at any time. Failure to disclose additional guests will result in a $250 penalty per guest, per night.

Guest Responsibilities

  • Report Damage Promptly: Please notify the host immediately of any damage, even if accidental, as soon as it is discovered.
  • Cooperate with the Host: Guests are expected to work with the host to find reasonable solutions regarding any damage or issues.
  • Reimbursement: Guests may be held responsible for reimbursing reasonable costs related to damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning fees.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation to help us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Departure Expectations

We kindly ask all guests to leave the cottage in a tidy condition and to properly dispose of all garbage and recyclables before checkout. Your help in keeping the space clean and welcoming is greatly appreciated!

Fire Safety Guidelines 🔥

  1. Fire Bans: Fire bans can change frequently. To prevent forest fires and avoid fines, please contact us anytime to confirm the current fire ban status before starting a fire.
  2. Never Leave Fires Unattended: Always stay with your fire while it’s burning.
  3. Local Firewood Only: If you bring your own firewood, please purchase it locally near the cottage to avoid transporting pests into the area.
  4. Extinguish Fires Completely: Always fully put out your fire before leaving or going inside. Do not leave it unattended while lit.
  5. Approved Materials Only: Only paper and firewood may be burned in the fire pit. Burning plastics, metals, or other harmful materials is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will result in a $500 fine to cover cleanup and environmental damage.

BBQ Use & Safety Guidelines

  • Safe Operation: Users of the BBQ accept full responsibility and liability for safe operation. The property, owners, and affiliated entities are not liable for any misuse, injury, or accidents.
  • Cleaning: Please leave the BBQ clean after use. Renters may be charged cleaning fees if the grill is left dirty. Treat the BBQ with care, as if it were your own.
  • Reporting Issues: Any damage or malfunctions must be reported to the property host immediately.
  • Safety Compliance: Use the BBQ in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Liability: Renters are responsible for any damage caused to the BBQ or property during their stay.

Garbage Disposal Policy

All garbage, recycling, and compost generated during your stay must be removed from the property upon departure. Please refer to the owner’s instructions for the nearest dump location or detailed disposal guidelines.

Failure to properly remove all waste will result in a $300 fee.

Septic System Care

To avoid costly and unpleasant issues, everyone in your rental party must follow these important guidelines:

  • Only use single-ply toilet paper in the toilets.
  • Do not flush any other items, including paper towels, feminine products, wipes, or any non-toilet paper materials.

Our septic system is inspected after every rental to ensure compliance. Failure to follow these rules will result in a $750 charge to cover repairs and maintenance.

Thank you for helping us protect this essential system and maintain a comfortable stay for all guests.

Cleaning Expectations

While vacationers are not expected to perform a full clean of the cottage, we do ask that you leave the space in a tidy and orderly condition.

  • Please wash and put away any dishes used.
  • Dispose of all garbage properly by taking it with you or following the provided instructions.
  • Simple cleaning supplies are available in the cottage should you wish to use them during your stay.

Guest Limit

Your reservation includes a set number of guests. If you plan to exceed this number, prior permission from the owner is required.

Exceeding the guest limit can overload the septic system, leading to unpleasant and costly problems. The system is designed to accommodate a specific number of occupants for everyone’s comfort and safety.

Please contact the host as soon as possible if you need to make any changes to your guest count.

Guest Agreement & Responsibility

All guests must agree to read and abide by the cottage rules during their stay.

Inventory and equipment are to be used safely and responsibly.

Guests agree to leave the cottage—including all furniture, fixtures, and chattels—in the same condition and state of repair as at the start of the rental period.

Any breakage or damage to inventory, canoes, equipment, or other property beyond normal wear and tear will result in charges billed to the registered guest.
